# Introduction

**Effective date: January 1,**

**Last updated: July 17, 2026**

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Hadrian Biodefense Inc. ("**Hadrian**," "**we**," "**us**," or "**our**") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit our website at hadrian.org and any other website or page that links to this Policy (collectively, the "**Site**").

Our Site is informational and provides ways to connect with us as partners or prospective employees. We do not sell products or services through the Site, and the Site does not require you to create an account.

By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site. If you have questions or concerns, contact us at [\[email protected\]](/cdn-cgi/l/email-protection#bbcbc9d2cddad8c2fbd3dadfc9d2dad595d4c9dc).

##
1\. Scope of this Policy

This Policy applies to personal information we process in connection with the Site. It does not apply to:

- Third-party websites, resources, or news articles we link to, which are governed by their own privacy policies; or
- Job application data collected and processed on our behalf by third-party recruiting platforms, which is addressed in Section 9 (Job applicants and recruiting) below.

## 2\. Information we collect

#### 2.1 Information you provide to us

We collect personal information you choose to provide — for example, when you submit our partner contact form, subscribe to email updates, register your interest in working with us, or email us directly. Depending on how you contact us, this may include:

-   Name;
-   Email address;
-   Organization;
- The partnership or interest type you select (for example, implementer, builder, field shaper, advisor, media, or funder); and
- The contents of your message and any other information you choose to include.

If you only subscribe to our email updates, we collect just your email address. You do not have to provide this information, but if you do not, we may be unable to respond to your inquiry or send you the updates you request.

#### 2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information through cookies and similar technologies, including

-   IP address and approximate location (for example, country or region);
-   Browser type and version, operating system, and device type;
- Referring and exit pages, pages viewed, and dates and times of access; and
- Other diagnostic and usage data.

This information does not, on its own, identify you. We use it primarily to keep the Site secure and functioning, to display pages appropriately for your device type and region where possible, and to understand our web traffic. See Section 5 (Cookies and tracking technologies).

#### 2.3 Sensitive information

We do not ask for or intend to collect "sensitive" or "special category" personal information (such as racial or ethnic origin, health data, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation) through the Site. Please do not send us this type of information.

## 3\. How we use your information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

- **To respond to you.** To answer inquiries submitted through the Site or by email, and to follow up on partnership or engagement interest.
- **To evaluate engagement and employment interest.** To assess and follow up on expressions of interest in partnering with us or joining our team.
- **To operate and improve the Site.** To maintain, secure, and improve the Site, including analyzing web traffic and usage trends and rendering pages correctly by device and region.
- **To send communications you request.** To send updates or materials you have asked to receive. You can opt out at any time.
- **For security and fraud prevention.** To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, misuse, or unauthorized activity.
- **To comply with law.** To meet our legal obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

## 4\. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information under one or more of the following legal bases:

- **Consent** — for example, when you agree to non-essential cookies or subscribe to communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- **Legitimate interests** — to respond to your inquiries, operate and secure the Site, understand our web traffic, and advance our mission, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
- **Legal obligation** — where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
- **Vital interests** — in rare cases where processing is necessary to protect the safety of any person.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, you may object to that processing as described in Section 11.

## 5\. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site and understand how it is used. We manage cookie consent through **CookieYes**, our consent management tool.

- **Essential cookies** are necessary for the Site to function and to display pages correctly (for example, based on device type or region). These are used without requiring your consent where permitted by law.
- **Analytics cookies** help us understand our web traffic and improve the Site. We use **Google Analytics** for this purpose, and we set these cookies only after you opt in through our cookie banner, where consent is required. Google Analytics collects information such as your IP address, device and browser characteristics, and how you interact with the Site. This information is processed by Google on our behalf; to learn more, see the [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy), and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the [Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

The specific cookies we use, along with their purposes and duration, are listed and kept up to date in our cookie consent tool (CookieYes) and described in our Cookie Policy, where you can review the current categories in use and manage your preferences.

You can manage or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie settings link on the Site, and most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works. Further detail about the specific cookies we use is available in our Cookie Policy.

## 6\. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:

- **Service providers.** With third parties that help us operate the Site — such as website hosting, analytics (Google Analytics), consent management (CookieYes), and communications tools — who may access personal information only to perform services for us and are contractually required to protect it.
- **Legal and safety.** Where we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce our [Terms of Use](https://hadrian.org/terms); or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Hadrian, our users, or others.
- **Business transfers.** In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case personal information may be among the transferred assets. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.

## 7\. International data transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in a country whose data protection laws differ from those of your jurisdiction.

Where we transfer personal information from the EEA or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum), or another lawful transfer mechanism. Further details are available on request.

## 8\. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. For example, we retain correspondence from inquiries for as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of our communications, and analytics data for a limited period for reporting and improvement. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it, or securely store and isolate it until deletion is possible.

## 9\. Job applicants and recruiting

Applications for open roles are handled through one or more third-party recruiting platforms (applicant tracking systems) rather than directly on the Site. When you apply for a position, the personal information you submit — such as your name, contact details, resume, work history, and any information you provide — is collected and processed through that platform.

Your use of the recruiting platform, and its processing of your information, is subject to that provider's privacy notice as well as this Policy. We use applicant information solely to evaluate your candidacy and manage our recruiting process, and we retain it only as long as needed for those purposes and to comply with applicable law. If you have questions about how your application data is handled, contact us at [\[email protected\]](/cdn-cgi/l/email-protection#4e3e3c27382f2d370e262f2a3c272f2060213c29).

## 10\. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [\[email protected\]](/cdn-cgi/l/email-protection#0c7c7e657a6d6f754c646d687e656d6222637e6b) and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

## 11\. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information

-   **Access** — to know whether we process your personal information and to obtain a copy;
-   **Correction** — to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
-   **Deletion** — to request that we delete your personal information;
-   **Portability** — to receive certain information in a portable format;
-   **Objection or restriction** — to object to or restrict certain processing;
- **Withdraw consent** — where we rely on consent; and
- **Non-discrimination** — to not be treated differently for exercising your rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [\[email protected\]](/cdn-cgi/l/email-protection#1262607b6473716b527a7376607b737c3c7d6075). We will respond as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may also use an authorized agent where the law permits, subject to verification.

### 11.1 EEA, UK, and Switzerland

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland and believe we have processed your personal information unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.

### 11.2 United States (including California)

Some US state privacy laws — including the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA/CPRA) — apply only to for-profit businesses and, as a result, may not apply to Hadrian as a nonprofit organization. Where these laws do apply to us, and as a matter of good practice regardless, we honor the privacy rights described below.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California and other US state privacy laws. Because we do not currently use advertising or remarketing cookies, there is no sale or targeted-advertising activity to opt out of at this time.

To the extent the CCPA/CPRA applies to us, California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to access and delete that information, to correct inaccuracies, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. In the past twelve months we have collected the following categories of personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA:

-   **Identifiers** (such as name, email address, IP address) — collected;
-   **Internet or other electronic network activity** (such as browsing and usage data) — collected;
-   **Geolocation data** (approximate, from IP address) — collected;
- **Professional or employment-related information** (such as the organization you provide) — collected

We collect these from you directly and automatically through cookies and similar technologies, and we use and disclose them for the business purposes described in Sections 3 and 6. Residents of other US states with comprehensive privacy laws (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others) have comparable rights, which you may exercise using the contact details above.

## 12\. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is no common industry standard for interpreting DNT signals, the Site does not currently respond to them. You can still manage tracking through the cookie settings described in Section 5.

## 13\. Third-party links and content

The Site publishes, re-publishes, or links to news articles, resources, and other third-party content. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.

## 14\. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

## 15\. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, if the changes are material, provide a more prominent notice. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.

## 16\. How to contact us
